Turkey avocado wrap
A tight turkey-avocado lunch wrap with lime-Dijon spread, crisp lettuce, cucumber, carrots, and drained pickled onion.

Equipment
- Use another sound 10-inch nonstick skillet with low sides and only a thin film of oil.
Ingredients

- 1/4 small red onion, very thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons lime juice, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
- 2 ripe Hass avocados
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 4 large burrito-size flour tortillas
- 12 ounces thinly sliced roasted turkey breast
- 8 completely dry butter-lettuce leaves
- 1 Persian cucumber, seeded and cut into matchsticks
- 1 medium carrot, coarsely shredded
- Black pepper
Instructions
Toss red onion with 1 tablespoon lime juice and half the salt; rest 10 minutes, then drain and blot dry.
Mash one avocado with mayonnaise, Dijon, remaining lime juice, remaining salt, and black pepper. Slice the second avocado immediately before assembly.
Warm tortillas briefly in a or microwave under a damp towel until flexible, then cool just until no longer steaming.
Spread avocado mixture over the center of each tortilla, leaving a 2-inch border. Layer turkey over the spread as a broad dry barrier, then add lettuce, cucumber, carrot, drained onion, and sliced avocado.
Fold the sides inward and roll tightly away from you. Rest seam-side down 2 minutes, then cut on the bias. For packed lunches, wrap tightly and keep chilled.
